Rociu photovoltaic project
| Arges county | 350 MW
The Rociu project is a huge pipeline consisting of seven autonomous photovoltaic power plants with a total installed capacity of 350.4 MW, all connected to the same main 400/200kv power station.
The connection of the 7 photovoltaic plants is made through three 110/33kv substations. The total area of the PVP, excluding the land for the station and substations, is 344 hectares.
The strong point of this project is its location in southern Romania, the area with the highest solar radiation in the country.
What makes it truly attractive is that the project does not require any work to strengthen the electrical grid.
Rociu storage (BESS) project | Arges county | up to 600 MW
On an area of almost 3 hectares, the stand-alone project for storing electricity of up to 600MW, Rociu Storage, connects to the same 400kv station. A storage capacity means higher revenues, through optimized dispatching according to market price signals and the production profiles of photovoltaic plants, but also balancing services, through the ability to provide frequency regulation, reserves and congestion management services to Transelectrica, for regulated revenues.
Sofronea photovoltaic project
| Arad county | 33 MW
The Şofronea project, with a capacity of 32 MW, is one of the most attractive solar projects in Romania, as it has no grid reinforcements or operational limitations and is at the ready-to-build stage. The project covers an area of 39 hectares, with a direct connection to the 110 kV LEA. The Şofronea photovoltaic project holds an ATR and a Connection Contract issued by Rețele Electrice Banat.
